Wood Facade Study

MAS’s residential work has prompted an ongoing study of exterior wood cladding – its creative possibilities, the properties of different wood species, and the performance of ecologically safe treatments. This process is decidedly analogue: Mock-ups using species that are naturally resistant to moisture, sunlight and pests, allow the team to evaluate how different woods, treatments and details perform over time.
