Oaklandish Coffee Collective Cafe - OAK

Part civic booster, part arts collective, Oaklandish Coffee Collective seeks to spread “local love” through its brand apparel and the activism it supports. For the Oaklandish outlet at Oakland International Airport, MAS created a hybrid café/retail space featuring local coffee roasters. The design weaves together familiar urban references – the honeycomb display system from Oaklandish’s downtown store, parklet seating and a street mural – to link this airport locale to Oakland's diverse and textured cityscape.
