The “hand” of mechanical production distinguishes this prototype for an interior wood panel: The scallop path of a three-axis CNC router adds texture to the overall undulating form of the panel. Part of a broader interest in the digital manipulation of organic materials, the three-dimensional panel heightens the experience of the wood’s natural grain.
