Accidental Theater

Text.

This speculative project considers the adaptive use of an underutilized space and explores the potential of a hybrid modeling approach combining laser cut and 3D-printed elements with hand-built practices. The design inserts a circus beneath the stands of a historic track and field stadium, transforming the structure into an apparatus for high-wire performance. The design evolved through rapid prototyping using laser and 3D technology to quickly produce components that are, in turn, assembled by hand to imbue the study with more richness and texture.
